Mission & Values

Parent Services Center, Inc. provides parent education, support and resources to prevent family breakdown and promote family resilience.  

 

While encouraging, educating, and supporting families, we also strive to reinforce parents' commitment to their children and families by instilling pro-social values such as integrity, honesty, diversity, kindness, respect for others, personal responsibility, and helpfulness. These are qualities we believe to be essential to leading compassionate and productive lives in our community and society.

 

We believe the family was the first institution created by God. We believe in the integrity of the family and that families form the foundation of our community, nation, and society. We believe that the parent is the child's first and most influential teacher. We believe when families are happy, healthy, and functioning, so are our communities, nation, and society.

 

We further adhere to saying that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"...that when families are supported and helped early, many tragedies can be prevented and costs to the individuals, family, and society can be greatly reduced. Therefore, the Center's programs are proactive and compassionate in nature as well as cost-effective.

 

We know that the family will instill values and behaviors in their children which will influence future generations. Our goal in strengthening families enables us to touch the lives of all our community and society.
